Cases Where Oral Surgery May be Needed
- Impacted teeth
If a child’s teeth are growing in at an angle or are blocked by other teeth, they may need oral surgery to remove them. This is typically done when the child is between the ages of six and twelve.
- Cleft palate
Cleft palate is a birth defect that can cause problems with eating, speaking, and hearing. Children with cleft palate often need surgery to repair the defect.
- Jaw deformities

- Tumors
